The route starts by going up the track on the right hand side of the church, through the metal gate just before Whiteside cottage, and up to the top of Whiteside Hill [Check 1]. Now descend north eastwards towards the wood and join the track beside Flemington burn. Follow this track north to the stream ford, then climb onto Hag Law [Check 2] and follow the ridge to the trig point on Wether Law [Check 3]. From here retrace your steps towards Hag Law and drop into the valley, cross Fingland Burn and climb to the top of Drum Maw [Check 4]. From Drum Maw take the best route back towards Whiteside cottage and down the track to the finish at the church.
