The senior race saw a wide spread of start times
with Adam Ward starting off 42minutes 35 seconds behind Margaret
Forrest running in her first race since her record breaking time
in Knockfarrel. Adam Ward ran the fastest unhandicapped time with
Steve Fallon second.
The race was won easily by Michael Wilkinson with Hilary Holding
on to second. Jim McWhinnie was third with Jane Robertson close
on his heels. Cali Ingham and Shane Bouchier saw no sympathy from
the handicapper even though the were recovering from surgery and
brought up the rear of the field.
New members John Ashcroft and Tom Adams had a good showing (Tom on his
second ever hill run).Over such a straightforward course it was surprising
the amount of route choice used by the runners. The heather hoppers making
time over the track trodders. Gordon caught a few with his route from
Castlelaw to the sink.
